How to make iis7 work with windows vista home basic with all features that support asp.net website?
I recently finished designing my asp.net website and at the time of deployment, I installed IIS7 but it doesn’t work fine (showing some error, which I’m unable to handle). The Error is as follows "HTTP Error 404.4 – Not Found The resource you are looking for does not have a handler associated with it." Please some one help me in this regard. Correct answer is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
But the IIS7 is not getting installed with all features on my system.
If you are installing IIS7 on your Windows Vista Home Basic, then that is where the problem is. It should be installed under a Windows Server OS, not an everyday version of Windows.

How can I verify which users have successfully installed an Active Directory .msi deployment?
I want to be able to verify this on the server. I don’t want to visit each user’s machine. The server is Windows 2K3.
The AD on the Domain Controller is indeed what pushed out the .msi to the clients. I have verified it worked on the PC’s, but I had to physically walk up to the PC to look. I want to look on the domain controller to see which ones have successfully installed the .msi file. I don’t want to physically visit each PC.
I verified a successful install on 3 of the 80 PC’s. I don’t want to visit 77 more.
I think I am confused. Active Directory does not have to be installed on the desktops. Just on the Domain Controller. The only thing that needs to be done at the desktop, is to join it to the domain. You can use AD Users and Computers to the members of the AD domain. Hope this helps.
Honestly, this is just a discombobulated mess of ideas.
